We start todays posts off quite unexpectedly and you know some what feeling like proud mothers. New boy band (sound’s quite cheesy to say) Flytesupported MS MR last night at their Nottingham, Rescue Rooms gig and well we’re impressed. Not only did the lead singer have a smashing barnet and an impeccable taste in bright blue jumpers. They also bought real charisma and presence onto the stage. With their upbeat, well tuned, foot tapping songs it was a shock to hear that they had only been together for 6 months - Amazing considering they’re already touring with such amazing artists.
About their music..
Well MAM and the company we were with, were struggling with who we should compare this band too. Some suggestions being theme park meets two door cinema club meets swim deep. Also another was a new Franz Ferdinandseriously, we still don’t know where to place these hip new fellas.. but believe me, with a list of bands that impeccable we’re comparing them too, you know they’re going to be good. We want to hear your views, so give them a listen. What’s amazing about this band is that the lead singer (Will Taylor) sings as if he’s been in this industry for a while and he makes the music more infectious with the way he approached each song on stage last night. We’re not faulting the others though, Nick Hill, Sam Berridge and Jon Supran also did this, they all acted as if they owned the stage - it was truly insane to watch. They just looked like they were having so much fun.
Heads up though, they’ve just finished writing three new songs, so keep your eyes peeled for them also. We got a cheeky preview last night and they were pretty damn good.
WELCOME NEW GUYS, YOU’RE GOING TO DO GREAT.
