THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Today at MAM is all about The neighbourhood. Being from England, not going to lie, us brits haven’t been fully educated when it comes to The Nbhd, Jesse Rutherford and of course Sweater Weather; and you know what, we don’t think this is on.  The LA based lad band is blasting out of our speakers as you read this, we can’t get enough. Read on to find out why…
This urban indie group is well known down here (over the pond) due to having toured with The 1975. But you’re missing out if you haven’t gave them a propper listen. A couple of songs we suggest listening to (like NOW) is Sweater Weather, Let go, Female Robbery and Afraid. There’s this dark sexual element to them which means you’re just gripped instantly. The song Sweater weather is beyond catchy - but not in the pop upbeat lame sort of way- more in a ‘wow, these lyrics are insane.. dude I know what you’re saying, I can totally relate’ sort of way.. you know what we mean? With lyrics like "Cause it’s too cold, for you here and now, so let me hold, both your hands in the holes of my sweater" it’s like god, I bet you get all the girls with that line.
Slightly moving on, the only thing about this song is that it’s starting to become one of those songs where you get fake fans say they like The Neighbourhood well in fact they only like one song.. Sweater weather is now their token song. Well done lads for making it a cracker but lets pray fans branch out to the other songs because seriously Afraid for example is just insane with everything it relates to and represents. The music video I’m sure all the girls will like as well, we’re not going to show you it.. you’ll have to give it a find yourself, but believe us on that one. But if this small post isn’t enough to get you to give them a listen then well there’s nothing we can do really.. but if reading this and you’ve gone over to sound cloud, youtube (what ever) and you’re listening to them, then YES, YOU’RE A DUDE, well done. That’s a star status coming from us.
Also WE ARE SO HAPPY to announce, we’re actually seeing The NBHD in LDN next february.. So we’ll be keeping you updated when that comes around. We understand if you’re a tinsy bit jealous, we would be.
….

Just because us brits want to keep a good reputation and well your songs kick arse. We rate this band 5*****
